Fred Gage is an Adjunct Professor of Neurobiology at the University of California, San Diego. His research integrates neuroscience, genetics, and molecular psychiatry to investigate brain aging, neurodegeneration, and cellular maturation. Recent work published in *Science* and *Nature Biotechnology* explores neuronal senescence, hippocampal glucose metabolism in Alzheimer’s disease, and astrocyte maturation in cortical organoids. He also studies synaptic dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease and long-read telomere sequencing in aging. His collaborative network spans leading institutions across the US, Europe, and Asia, and he has secured major funding for research on genetic variants and gender bias in Alzheimer’s disease.
