Yuri Lvov is a High Senior Professor at Louisiana Tech University. His research centers on nanomaterials, specifically the synthesis and application of halloysite clay nanotubes for biomedical engineering, catalysis, and environmental remediation. Recent breakthroughs include the aqueous-phase synthesis of Ni2P within clay nanotube lumens for efficient catalytic nitroarene hydrogenation, hierarchical oil-water-oil Pickering double emulsions stabilized by tubular nanoparticles, and halloysite/polyaniline nanocomposites for enhanced actinide sorption. His work also explores halloysite formulations for cosmetics and topical drug delivery, as well as spilled oil remediation via emulsification with natural nanoclays. He has published extensively in leading journals, including the Journal of the American Chemical Society, ACS Nano, and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces.
