Yun Shin Chun is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on surgical oncology, specifically liver cancer, colorectal liver metastases, and gastrointestinal surgery. Recent work includes using two-dimensional venograms to predict future liver remnant hypertrophy after portal venous embolization, spatial multi-omics dissection of colorectal cancer micrometastasis, and radiomic signatures from baseline CT to predict chemotherapy response in unresectable colorectal liver metastases. She has also investigated total neoadjuvant therapy for rectal cancer and its implications for liver metastases, as well as clinical determinants of survival and predictive immune biomarkers for immunotherapy in fibrolamellar carcinoma. Her interdisciplinary collaborations span radiology, pathology, and computational biomedicine.
