Ying Yuan is a High Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research integrates oncology, radiation oncology, and molecular cancer biology, with a focus on clinical trial design, colorectal cancer, and cancer care. Recent work includes developing generalized pairwise comparisons for multi-outcome dose selection in oncology trials, benchmarking tools for cellular crosstalk in spatially-resolved transcriptomics, and the UniST framework for 3D spatial transcriptomics reconstruction. He has contributed to phase 1 and 2 trials, including sitravatinib with nivolumab plus ipilimumab for renal cell carcinoma and carboplatin with bevacizumab for recurrent ependymomas. His findings on PPP2R1A mutations and improved survival after immunotherapy were published in Nature, with additional work in Science Translational Medicine and Genome Biology.
