Xuemei Wang is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research spans oncology, hematology, pharmacology, and radiation oncology, with a focus on leukemia, myelofibrosis, and gastrointestinal malignancies. Recent work includes clinical trials on omacetaxine and venetoclax for relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia with mutant RUNX1, sotatercept for anemia of myelofibrosis, and opioid-sparing analgesia bundles after pancreatectomy. She also leads transpacific multicenter studies on minimally invasive gastrectomy and community-based prostate cancer screening programs for underserved populations. Her publications appear in Annals of Surgery, Blood Neoplasia, and Haematologica.
