Xuebiao Yao

Xuebiao Yao is a High Senior Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine. His research integrates molecular and cellular biology to investigate cell division, cytoskeletal dynamics, and signal transduction, with a particular focus on mitotic chromosome segregation and epithelial polarity. Recent breakthroughs include digital reconstruction of full embryos during early mouse organogenesis and elucidation of crossover patterning via pro-crossover factor condensation, both published in 2025 in *Cell* and *Nature Cell Biology*, respectively. His work also addresses oocyte aneuploidy through maternal ELL3 loss-of-function and TFAP2β condensation in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, highlighting his contributions to chromatin biology and cancer cell signaling.
