Cynthia Wong is a Chief of Staff to the Dean for Columbia College at Columbia University. She holds an MPhil in Ethnomusicology from Columbia University (1998), an MM in Musicology from Florida State University (1993), and a BM in Piano Performance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (1990). Her research focuses on obstetric anesthesia, maternal health, and pain management, with recent work examining epidural blood patch volumes, sensory block testing modalities in neuraxial labour analgesia, and environmental sustainability in anesthesia departments. She has published in Anesthesia & Analgesia and the British Journal of Anaesthesia, and collaborates with institutions across the US, UK, Canada, France, and Australia.
