Uyen-Sa Nguyen

Uyen-Sa Nguyen is a Senior Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Her research integrates public health, epidemiology, and orthopaedic surgery, with recent work focusing on the mental health impacts of war trauma and drone attacks on parent-child dyads in Ukraine, cultural adaptation of mHealth interventions for diabetes self-management, and the associations between perceived discrimination, racial microaggressions, and mental health outcomes among Asian American women during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also contributed to defining core competencies for PhD-level epidemiology training and examining COVID-19 vaccination decision-making among U.S. young adults.
