Travis Redd is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. His research integrates ophthalmology, epidemiology, and deep learning to advance the diagnosis and management of ocular surface diseases, with a particular focus on infectious keratitis and pediatric ophthalmology. Recent work includes developing DMD-based stereo tomography for anterior eye segment imaging, applying latent supervision to improve machine learning calibration in ophthalmology, and evaluating the generalizability of multi-regional deep learning models for trachoma detection. He has also investigated decellularized Descemet membrane keratoplasty for pediatric penetrating keratoplasty and compared microbiologic tests for pathogen detection in infectious keratitis using latent class analysis. His contributions span biomedical imaging, ocular pathology, and computer vision applications for global eye health.
