Timothy P. Endy is a Distinguished Professor at Upstate Medical University, where he specializes in infectious diseases, medical virology, and tropical medicine. His research focuses on the immunology and epidemiology of vector-borne diseases, particularly dengue virus pathogenesis, chikungunya outbreak response modeling, and severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome. He leads efforts in global health preparedness, including the development of coronavirus vaccine libraries and rapid diagnostic tests for high-priority pathogens. His recent work includes longitudinal host-viral RNA analyses during controlled dengue virus 3 infections and serological mixture models for dengue surveillance. He collaborates internationally on vaccine use-case scenarios and outbreak response strategies across endemic regions.
