Ted Ng is a Senior Professor at Rush University whose research integrates cognitive impairment, neuroscience of aging, and public health. His recent work examines the interplay of genetic risk factors, blood-based neurodegenerative biomarkers, and cardiovascular health in cognitive decline, including studies on APOE4 carrier status and lipid panels. He has published extensively on social determinants of cognitive aging, investigating how social isolation, loneliness, and neighborhood vulnerability influence incident Alzheimer's disease. His 2025 publications in JAMA Network Open, Neurology, and The Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer's Disease also explore post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection and non-pharmacological interventions such as choral singing for mental health in older adults.
