Suzanne Fei is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. Her research integrates genetics, molecular biology, and reproductive physiology to investigate developmental programming, with a focus on how maternal obesity remodels bone marrow myeloid cell metabolomics and transcriptomics. She also examines the neurobiological effects of chronic alcohol consumption, including sex-dependent alterations in GABAergic synapses within the central amygdala of rhesus macaques and transcriptomic signatures of alcohol use disorder. Her recent work encompasses long noncoding RNAs in pancreatic cancer identity, astrocyte translatome changes, and O’nyong-nyong virus infection modeling, reflecting broad expertise in transcriptomics, endocrinology, and neuroscience.
