Steven G. Waguespack

Steven G. Waguespack is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on endocrine oncology, particularly thyroid cancer, including pediatric differentiated thyroid carcinoma, medullary thyroid cancer, and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma. He investigates genomic classifiers for cytologically indeterminate nodules, systemic therapies such as BRAF/MEK inhibitors and lenvatinib plus pembrolizumab, and the cardiovascular toxicities of targeted treatments. His recent work also explores ectopic ACTH syndrome, metastatic pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma, and patient-centered educational tools like MTCEducate.org.
