Seongkyu Lee is a Professor at the University of California, Davis. He earned his prior experience as a researcher at GE Global Research Center. His research focuses on aerospace engineering, specifically aerodynamic noise prediction and reduction for rotorcraft and urban air mobility, including airfoil noise source identification, rotor broadband noise modeling, and high-fidelity computational aeroacoustics. His recent work includes developing new empirical models for rotor broadband noise and publishing studies on airfoil transition mechanisms in the *AIAA Journal*. Lee is the founding faculty advisor for the Vertical Flight Society student chapter and was a Hellman Fellow in 2018. He collaborates internationally with institutions in the UK, Canada, China, Denmark, and South Koreaaineistoa.
