Show-Ling Shyng

Show-Ling Shyng is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. Her research integrates molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics to elucidate the structural and functional basis of membrane biology, with a particular focus on KATP channels. Her recent work employs cryo-EM and AI-based discovery to define the structural basis of Mg-nucleotide regulation, vascular-specific channel inhibition, and pharmacochaperone action. She has also characterized mutations underlying dual glucose dysregulation and contributed lipid probes for ion channel study, advancing understanding of signal transduction and cellular physiology.
