Shivaani Kummar, M.D., FACP, is a Professor and Associate Chief Executive Officer of the Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University. A leading oncologist and clinical researcher, her work focuses on early-phase clinical trials of anti-cancer agents, pharmacodynamics, and targeted therapeutics. Her recent research includes a Phase 1 study of Rezatapopt, a p53 reactivator for TP53 Y220C-mutated tumors, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, and investigations into CSF1R inhibition with chemotherapy to relieve systemic immune suppression in metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. She also evaluates tissue-agnostic approvals and AI-derived biomarkers predicting immunotherapy response.
