Senthil Damodaran is an Associate Professor of Breast Medical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on the molecular underpinnings of breast cancer, particularly the genomic and copy-number substructure of metastatic tumors, HER2-low status, and therapeutic resistance in hormone receptor-positive disease. He has led pivotal work on personalizing therapies for metastatic breast cancer, identified immune activation as a key predictor of neoadjuvant chemotherapy response in triple-negative breast cancer, and characterized PI3K pathway alterations and PTEN expression in this subtype. His recent publications appear in leading journals including CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, Molecular Cell, and npj Breast Cancer.
