Scott Kopetz is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where his research focuses on the molecular pathogenesis and treatment of colorectal cancer. His recent work emphasizes targeted therapy combinations for BRAF V600E-mutant metastatic disease, particularly the encorafenib and cetuximab regimen, as well as the role of organ preservation in rectal cancer with synchronous liver metastases. He has also investigated immunotherapeutic responses in microsatellite unstable tumors, aspirin use and PI3K mutations, and adoptive cellular therapies, including TROP2 CAR NK cells, for minimal residual disease.
