Scott Hansen is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. His research focuses on viral immunology, specifically adaptive immune responses, T-cell memory, and antibody-mediated immunity in infectious diseases. His recent work has investigated SIV rebound dynamics after antiretroviral cessation, resident memory T-cell activation of humoral immunity, and viral evasion mechanisms, including cytomegalovirus-encoded Fcγ-binding glycoproteins. He has also contributed to clinical trials evaluating Leronlimab for multidrug-resistant HIV-1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis. His publications appear in Nature Microbiology, Immunity, Science Translational Medicine, and Nature Communications, reflecting his expertise in rhesus macaque models of viral pathogenesis and vaccine development.
