Savitri Krishnamurthy is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she specializes in oncologic pathology with a focus on breast cancer and thyroid malignancies. Her research integrates diagnostic pathology with cancer biology, emphasizing inflammatory breast cancer progression, immunosuppressive macrophage polarization, and the AXL signaling pathway. Recent work includes validating a novel diagnostic score for inflammatory breast cancer, evaluating molecular testing for indeterminate thyroid cytology, and assessing digital pathology performance in frozen section analysis. She has contributed to multicenter phase 2 trials, including neoadjuvant pembrolizumab combined with dabrafenib and trametinib for BRAF V600E-mutated anaplastic thyroid cancer, and has published on NTRK fusion-positive thyroid carcinoma. Her research advances precision diagnostics and targeted therapeutic strategies in breast and thyroid oncology.
