Sarina Piha-Paul is a Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she leads early-phase clinical trials in oncology. Her research focuses on first-in-human studies of antibody-drug conjugates, cancer immunotherapy, and precision oncology, with particular emphasis on biomarker-driven trial design and molecular profiling of solid tumors. Her recent work includes dose-escalation results for ifinatamab deruxtecan in advanced solid tumors, therapeutic responses in advanced NSCLC, and the IMPACT2 study concordance analysis of DNA and RNA profiling. She has also investigated telemedicine’s role in expanding access to early-phase trials and the clinicopathologic characterization of ARID1A-mutant tumors. Her contributions span pharmacology, radiation oncology, and translational cancer research, advancing novel therapeutic strategies for treatment-resistant malignancies.
