Sachet A. Shukla is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where his research focuses on cancer immunology, tumor biology, and cancer genomics. His work centers on neoantigen discovery and immunotherapy, with recent breakthroughs including a neoantigen vaccine generating antitumour immunity in renal cell carcinoma (Nature, 2025) and the role of HIF-regulated endogenous retroviruses in cancer immunotherapy (Cell, 2025). He has also developed a deep learning-based filtering tool for detecting technical artifacts in whole-genome sequencing data and identified FGFR2b as an actionable cell surface target in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. His research integrates cancer genetics, medicinal research, and translational oncology to advance personalized cancer care.
