Ruth Weinstock

Ruth Weinstock is a Distinguished Senior Professor at Upstate Medical University. Her research focuses on diabetes management, particularly the intersection of type 1 diabetes, cognitive function, and neurodegeneration. Her recent work investigates plasma biomarkers of neurodegeneration and their association with glycemia, alongside studies on automated insulin delivery systems in older adults and psychosocial outcomes. She has also explored GLP-1 receptor agonist use in pregnancy and deprescribing strategies for older adults, contributing significantly to diabetes technology and chronic disease research.
