Rujia Dai is a Senior Professor at Upstate Medical University, specializing in psychiatric genetics and molecular psychiatry. Her research integrates single-cell transcriptomics, gene expression regulation, and neurogenetics to dissect the biological underpinnings of schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders. Recent landmark studies include a single-cell multi-cohort dissection of the schizophrenia transcriptome and a cross-ancestry atlas of brain QTLs, both published in *Science*, enhancing the interpretation of genome-wide association studies. Her work also explores transcriptomic sex differences in psychiatric patients and regulatory elements in the developing human cortex, advancing precision in psychiatric diagnostics and therapeutic development.
