Rosalind P. Candelaria is a Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on breast cancer oncology, specifically advanced cancer imaging and radiology. Her recent work centers on predicting pathologic complete response to neoadjuvant systemic therapy in triple-negative breast cancer using deep learning models and MRI-based tumor volume reduction. She also investigates imaging algorithms for post-cryoablation assessment and the selective elimination of breast surgery for invasive cancer. Her 2025 publications appear in JAMA Oncology, npj Breast Cancer, and JCO Precision Oncology.
