Rosalie C. Sears is a Professor of Molecular and Medical Genetics at Oregon Health & Science University, where she also serves as Co-Director of the Brenden-Colson Center for Pancreatic Care and holds the Krista L. Lake Chair in Cancer Research. Her research focuses on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), tumor biology, oncogene signaling, and cancer cell heterogeneity. Recent work includes developing computational histology artificial intelligence–powered predictive biomarkers for chemotherapy selection in advanced pancreatic cancer, characterizing global mRNA 3′UTR lengthening in small-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma, and deciphering single-cell heterogeneity and sympathetic nerve–fibroblast crosstalk during cancer progression. Her funded projects have investigated mechanisms of rapid metastatic recurrence in PDAC and CMV-vectored vaccine efficacy in HER2+ tumor models.
