Rohtesh S. Mehta is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in hematology, oncology, and transplantation medicine. His research focuses on optimizing allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation, particularly haploidentical and post-transplant cyclophosphamide-based platforms, donor selection priorities, and conditioning regimen intensity. He has led trials evaluating targeted therapies for post-transplant maintenance in IDH1-mutated myeloid malignancies and steroid-refractory chronic graft-versus-host disease. Recent work also examines viral-specific T-cell therapy for adenovirus infections and the impact of mycophenolate mofetil in high-risk AML/MDS patients. His contributions advance clinical outcomes in bone marrow and regenerative transplantation.
