Robert Howe is a Senior Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. His research focuses on forest ecology, biogeography, and the impacts of climate change on biodiversity, with particular emphasis on latitudinal patterns in tree demography, density-dependent population dynamics, and community coexistence mechanisms. He has recently published in *Nature* and *Science* on stabilizing density dependence and life-history trade-offs in global forests, and in *Ecosphere* on amphibian habitat restoration in Great Lakes coastal wetlands. His work integrates large-scale demographic datasets to understand forest resilience and spatial synchrony.
