Richard R. Bouchard is a Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where his research bridges biomedical engineering and cancer imaging. His work focuses on advancing ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging technologies, including the development of nanosized contrast agents and computational beamforming methods for neuromodulation. Recent publications explore multimodal liposomal carrier biodistribution, automated deep-learning segmentation of tumor volumes in MRI and micro-CT, and in vivo photoacoustic-ultrasound assessment of cardiac radiofrequency ablation. His interdisciplinary efforts integrate molecular imaging, biophysics, and biomolecular engineering to improve diagnostic and therapeutic precision in oncology and cardiology.
