Rami Vanguri is an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University. He earned his Ph.D. in Elementary Particle Physics from the University of Pennsylvania (2016) and a B.S. in Physics from the University of California, San Diego (2010), following postdoctoral work analyzing petabytes of CERN Large Hadron Collider data. His research applies computational and spatial transcriptomic approaches to oncology, focusing on multiplexed imaging analysis, tumor microenvironment biomarkers, and radiomics. He co-authored "Disease Heritability Inferred from Familial Relationships Reported in Medical Records" (Cell, 2018) and recently developed Nimbus, an automated classifier for multiplexed imaging data (Nature Methods, 2025), with publications on checkpoint inhibitor response in melanoma and cardiac sarcoidosis radiomics.
