Raghu Kalluri is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on cancer biology, specifically the tumor microenvironment, extracellular microvesicles, and pancreatic cancer. Recent work includes identifying tumor-restraining fibroblasts that emerge after chemotherapy in responders, and engineering exosomes with KrasG12D-specific siRNA for pancreatic cancer, demonstrated in a Phase I study with immunological correlates. He also investigates the evolutionary fingerprints of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and advances in extracellular vesicle diagnostics, from bulk measurements to single-vesicle analysis. His publications appear in Nature, Nature Communications, and ACS Nano.
