Qing Wang is a Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School. Her research centers on marine meteorology, physical oceanography, and atmospheric science, with a specific focus on marine fog life cycles, boundary-layer dynamics, and air-sea interactions. Recent work includes large-eddy simulations with Lagrangian cloud modeling to study fog formation and dissipation, as well as observational analyses of fog shadows and nearshore surface winds. She has led projects on stable boundary layer processes and high-energy-density dielectric polymers for Navy applications, and collaborates on field campaigns such as REDSAW.
