Pavan Bachireddy is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research integrates immunology, oncology, and cellular therapy, focusing on the molecular mechanisms governing immune escape and therapeutic resistance in hematologic malignancies. His recent work has characterized allogeneic CAR T cell expansion and rejection in large B-cell lymphoma, coordinated immune networks in leukemia bone marrow microenvironments, and oncogene-mediated editing of the HLA-ligandome. He has also employed single-cell multiomics and imaging mass cytometry to investigate clonal dynamics of MRD progression and HLA-II dysregulation in post-transplant AML and myelodysplastic syndromes. His publications appear in Science Immunology, Blood, and Transplantation and Cellular Therapy.
