Patricia Boyle is a High Senior Professor at Rush University. Her research focuses on the neuropathology of aging and dementia, specifically Alzheimer's disease, limbic-predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy (LATE), and mixed brain pathologies in community-dwelling older adults. Her recent work examines the role of APOE4 and blood-based neurodegenerative biomarkers in cognitive decline, as well as the link between scam susceptibility, declining financial and health literacy, and accelerated Alzheimer's onset. She contributes to clinical criteria development for LATE and matters of anti-amyloid treatment eligibility.
