Nicole Andeen, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. Her research integrates nephrology, urology, and oncology, focusing on renal pathology, glomerulonephritis, and the molecular mechanisms of kidney injury. Recent breakthroughs include characterizing global mRNA 3′UTR lengthening in small-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma and evaluating cilastatin sodium in a translational crush syndrome model. She has also published on NELL1 immunohistochemistry for spermatocyte identification in azoospermia biopsies, IgA nephropathy recurrence treated with iptacopan, and drug-induced membranous nephropathy. Her work spans translational diagnostics and therapeutic interventions, with collaborations advancing kidney transplant outcomes and autoimmune-mimicking infections.
