Nichole Price is a Senior Professor at Colby College specializing in marine ecology, oceanography, and climate change. Her research focuses on coral reef resilience, marine chemistry, and the ecological impacts of seaweed aquaculture. Recent work, published in *Nature Climate Change*, demonstrates that carbon burial in sediments below seaweed farms matches that of Blue Carbon habitats. She also investigates antimethanogenic compounds in red seaweeds, such as bromoform in rumen fluid, and their effects on dairy cow methane emissions and iodine metabolism, with studies appearing in *Scientific Reports* and the *Journal of Dairy Science*. Her ongoing projects employ eDNA tools to assess kelp farming impacts on underlying sediments and optimize cost-effective nutrient bioextraction standards.
