Rajesh Nandy is a Senior Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. His research integrates neuroscience, neuroimaging, and public health to investigate cognitive impairment, mental health, and the neuroscience of aging across diverse populations. His latest work examines how depressive symptoms and chronic stress mediate socioeconomic disparities in cognition among Latino and Black older adults, and he has published pivotal studies on plasma biomarkers (p-tau217, p-tau181, Aβ42) for predicting amyloid PET positivity, establishing uniform amyloid thresholds across populations, and exploring intersectional effects of race/ethnicity, sex, and APOE4 on inflammatory profiles. His recent research also addresses the mediating role of Interleukin-6 in stress-related cardiometabolic disorders and the impact of diabetes on cortical thickness in multi-ethnic cohorts.
