Moussa Ayyash is a Senior Professor at Chicago State University, specializing in systems engineering, wireless communications, and cybersecurity. His research focuses on the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning for intrusion detection, and the optimization of visible light communication (VLC) networks, including UAV deployment and hybrid TDMA-NOMA-RIS systems. Recent publications include a multi-stage zero trust intrusion detection framework for IoT and analyses of IRS-assisted VLC versus mmWave indoor systems. He has also contributed to semiconductor workforce development and serves as Technical Program Committee Co-Chair for major conferences.
