Mien-Chie Hung is a High Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on cancer biology, tumor immunology, and oncology, with particular emphasis on oncogene signaling, metabolic reprogramming, and immune evasion mechanisms. Recent breakthroughs include elucidating PD-L1 succinylation alterations shaping anti-tumor immunity in melanoma, characterizing nuclear PKM2 as a metabolic modulator, and identifying MGAT1-guided N-glycans on CD73 regulating immune evasion in triple-negative breast cancer. His work also explores LCAT deficiency in hepatocellular carcinoma progression, anti-galectin-9 therapy synergism with EGFR inhibition, and USP10-mediated ferroptosis regulation in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. His contributions span cancer immunotherapy, pharmacology, and translational applications, including triptolide-derived nanomaterials with anticancer and anti-SARS-CoV-2 properties.
