Michael R. Green is a Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he leads research at the intersection of immunology, oncology, and hematology. His work focuses on the molecular mechanisms of lymphoid neoplasia and hematological malignancies, with particular emphasis on cancer immunotherapy and pharmacology. Recent breakthroughs include multi-modal spatial characterization of tumor immune microenvironments in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (Nature Genetics, 2025), the identification of a bivalent molecular glue linking lysine acetyltransferases to oncogene-induced cell death (bioRxiv, 2025), and elucidation of CREBBP as a histone propionyltransferase (Journal of Biological Chemistry, 2025). His translational studies have advanced therapeutic strategies, including a phase 2 trial combining obinutuzumab with lenalidomide for follicular lymphoma (Blood Advances, 2025).
