Michael G. White, M.D., MSc, is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on surgical oncology, specifically gastrointestinal oncology and colorectal cancer, with recent work examining the mutational landscape of early-onset colorectal cancer and the role of tumor-infiltrating bacteria in disrupting cancer epithelial cell interactions. He has investigated immune aggregates as biomarkers of immunotherapy response in appendiceal adenocarcinoma using spatial proteomics, and has contributed to consensus guidelines for managing colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastases. His clinical research also addresses minimally invasive and robotic surgical adoption, nonoperative management regrowth risks, and cytoreduction outcomes with heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy.
