Michael Cosgrove is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Upstate Medical University. His research integrates biochemistry, biophysics, and structural molecular biology to elucidate epigenetic mechanisms governing chromatin regulation. He specializes in the hierarchical assembly, phase separation, and acetylation-mediated switches of the MLL1 core complex, which control histone H3K4 methylation and leukemic stem cell programs. His recent work also explores SH2 domain-containing inositol 5’-phosphatase inhibitors and amphibian arrestin dynamics. He has published in venues such as *Cancer Research*, *EMBO Reports*, and the *Journal of Biological Chemistry*, and has received major NIH funding for his studies on MLL core complex regulation.
