Michael A. Mooney is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. His research integrates psychiatry, neuroscience, genetics, and immunology to investigate the etiology of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and related neurodevelopmental conditions. His recent work employs sibling-control analyses to disentangle perinatal and family environmental factors, examines epigenetic age and methylation patterns across development, and explores the interplay between digital media use, genetics, and ADHD symptoms in children. He also contributes to the precision mapping of functional neural networks and leads the Methylation, Imaging, and NeuroDevelopment (MIND) consortium. His publications appear in leading journals including Nature Neuroscience and Molecular Psychiatry.
