Megan Stokey is a Senior Professor at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Her research focuses on materials science, applied physics, and condensed matter physics, with a specialization in the optical properties and characterization of electronic materials, including thin films and solid-state optoelectronics. Her recent work employs generalized spectroscopic ellipsometry to determine the anisotropic refractive indices and dielectric functions of β-(AlₓGa₁₋ₓ)₂O₃ alloys, and terahertz optical Hall effect to revisit the electron effective mass in GaN. She has also investigated high-field electron spin resonances of Fe-doped β-Ga₂O₃ and terahertz permittivity parameters of lutetium oxyorthosilicate. Her publications appear in Applied Physics Letters, Physical Review B, and APL Materials.
