Karin Meeker is a Senior Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Her research focuses on the neuroscience of aging, specifically Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers, neuroimaging, and cognitive impairment across diverse populations. Her latest work characterizes plasma AT(N) biomarkers and tau-PET cut-points in multi-ethnoracial cohorts, establishes biological Alzheimer’s disease stage concordance with autopsy data, and estimates the prevalence of underdiagnosed dementia in community-based studies. She leads the Health and Aging Brain Study–Health Disparities (HABS-HD), investigating structural MRI markers and clinical progression rates to improve dementia diagnosis and reduce health disparities.
