May Daher is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on cancer immunotherapy, specifically the development and optimization of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) natural killer (NK) cell therapies for hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. Her recent work includes engineering CD70-targeting CAR-NK cells to overcome BCMA downregulation in high-risk multiple myeloma, developing TGF-β-receptor type 2 knockout allogeneic NK cells for renal cell carcinoma, and investigating mitochondrial remodeling to sustain CAR-NK stemness. She also explores agent-based modeling of cellular dynamics in adoptive cell therapy and integrative approaches, such as adapting yoga therapy for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Her research integrates immunology, cell biology, and cellular therapy to advance next-generation cancer treatments.
