Marina E. Wolf is a Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience at Oregon Health & Science University. Her research focuses on the neurobiology of addiction, particularly the mechanisms underlying drug craving and relapse. Wolf’s latest work investigates the incubation of cocaine and oxycodone craving, identifying cell type-specific accumulation of calcium-permeable AMPA receptors (CP-AMPARs) in the nucleus accumbens core and shell, as well as retinoic acid-mediated homeostatic plasticity. Her recent publications appear in Neuropsychopharmacology, Molecular Psychiatry, and Pharmacological Reviews. Wolf’s research integrates neuropharmacology, behavioral neuroscience, and translatome analysis to advance understanding of addictive behaviors and inform therapeutic strategies for substance use disorders.
