Mackenzie Wehner

Mackenzie Wehner is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. A physician-scientist specializing in dermatology and oncology, her research integrates clinical dermatology, epidemiology, and public health to advance skin cancer prevention and treatment. Her recent work examines Mohs micrographic surgery utilization across darker skin phenotypes, actinic keratosis management in Medicare populations, and the epidemiology of keratinocyte carcinoma and lichen sclerosus. She also investigates cardiovascular health metrics in relation to cancer outcomes and sun protection behaviors among swimming coaches.
