Luisa Maren Solis is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research integrates immunology, oncology, and tumor biology, with a focus on thoracic oncology and cancer immunotherapy. Her recent work employs spatial transcriptomics and single-cell multi-omics to characterize cellular neighborhoods in lung adenocarcinoma precursors, identifying TIM-3 as a putative target for precancer interception. She has also pioneered multi-regional CT-based radiomics fusion for predicting pathological pollutant indices and led a phase I study of engineered exosomes delivering KrasG12D-specific siRNA in pancreatic cancer, with immunological correlates. Her findings on conserved spatial subtypes of cancer-associated fibroblasts were published in Cancer Cell.
