Luisa M. Solis Soto is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research integrates tumor biology, pathology, and thoracic oncology, with a focus on lung cancer and the tumor immune microenvironment. Recent work investigates predictive biomarkers and combination strategies to overcome resistance to HER2- and TROP2-directed antibody-drug conjugates in small cell lung cancer, and RBM10 loss-mediated immune tolerance and PD-1 inhibitor resistance in KRAS-mutant non-small cell lung cancer. She also applies spatial multi-omics and deep learning pathomics frameworks for personalized immunotherapy selection and outcome prediction in metastatic disease, and explores actionable cell surface targets in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
